The Proteus Design Suite offers three types of licenses to both comercial and educational customers.
1. Local/Stand Alone/Node Locked
- No license server required
- Just a license file
- For lab use only
2. Network/Floating/Concurrent
- Physical server required (Windows)
- USB Dongle protection
- Good service administration
- Access through Ethernet and Internet
3. Cloud License
- No physical server required
- Easy service administration
- Access through Ethernet and Internet
- Control panel login (Dashboard)
- Usage report (Metrics)
Advantages of Proteus Cloud
Proteus Cloud allows you to use the Proteus software remotely, as well as manage licenses through a dedicated web portal where you can manage licenses for any type of group of users. On Proteus latest version, the institute/company license manager can have access to: log files for report generation and usage indicators, error logs for access problem detection and also, authorized/unauthorized IP list for both the institution/company and the users’ access safety.
